By accessing the active imagination and
intuitive process, fresh insights and surprising shifts often move us from stuck places. The mental mind
can then later support and align with the intuitive information,
resulting in richer understanding and clearer intention.
About Music-Evoked Imagery….
Music-Evoked
Imagery (MEI) offers a creative approach to personal and professional
growth. It is an innovative music-based process that encourages the
active imagination and intuitive awareness. Through imagery and
metaphor, participants explore essential elements of the creative
process for everyday living. Among the many benefits include creative
problem-solving, integration and balance, stress management, vision, exploration of relationship dynamics,
and freedom from inhibitors such as
tension or the inner critic.
MEI has evolved from the
pioneering work with consciousness and the mind in the late 1960’s at
the Menninger Clinic and the Maryland Research Center, which resulted in
the Bonny Method of “Guided Imagery and Music.” MEI uses music which
carries profound explorative and healing potential, to access untapped
creative resources. The process trusts the innate wisdom of the self to
unfold through imagery in its own unique manner, rather than using
scripted imagery.
